Our Facilities
We now have, since 2022, four full sized lawns, having improved the practice lawn to competition standard.
New players are warmly welcomed; we provide all the equipment needed to play and offer coaching if you would like it. All you need to remember is to wear flat shoes or trainers please, to avoid damage to the lawns.
The Club has a simple Clubhouse with kitchen area, storage and toilet for members use.
History Of The Club
Barnstaple Croquet Club was originally part of the Barnstaple Tennis, Bowls and Croquet Club, Ashleigh Road, Barnstaple which was established in 1901. In 2010 with the help of the North Devon District Council it moved to Raleigh Meadow and set about making two croquet lawns from a field. A third lawn was added in 2013 and a fourth lawn was added in 2022.
